"My experience in Cardiff and in CELT was brilliant, excellent, marvellous ... I was there for 2 weeks and in that time I learnt more than I had done in all my life studying English in Spain. There are lots of levels and when you do your initial test they allocate you to a class that fits you. The classes are really interesting, you practise all the skills. With my classmates I had a very good time, in class I loved being with people from lots of countries and getting to know different cultures.

I also stayed with a CELT host family and I have no words to describe the family. My landlady was as young as me and she was like my sister. We really had a very nice time together.

In conclusion, if I have to recommend a language school and a city, it will definitely be CELT in Cardiff."

"What I appreciated most at CELT was the friendly atmosphere between the students and teachers. Everyone in class was encouraged to contribute as much as possible. Therefore students could benefit from a quite spontaneous and interactive learning environment. That was especially important for me since my main goal was to improve my spoken English.

Apart from the General English course, I can also recommend the one-to-one classes which allow you to focus on specific topics. In my classes I was taught how to make the spoken language sound more natural, which was really helpful.

Besides that, you get to know a lot of people from different parts of the world and can enjoy the dynamic life in Cardiff together with them."

"My experience in CELT has definitely been one of the most useful and funniest of my life.

The day I joined the school I couldn't speak English at all as I had never studied it before. I'll never forget my first day there, the secretary asked me -what is your name?- and I replied -yes- hoping that my answer would make some sense. I felt so embarrassed of that first conversation, so I started having my first doubts about my decision to study English. I thought I would never be able to learn it, even though I was going to spend six months in Cardiff. Well, a few minutes later I forgot all about those doubts when I joined my first class, the elementary one: I found such a comfortable environment where learning seemed like playing a game and the teacher could easily communicate with us... I still don't know how.

Six months later I felt like Cardiff was my hometown, I was part of that cosy cosmopolitan place. I felt like my host family was actually part of my real family. I had loads of friends from all over the world. I was attending the advanced class in CELT and I couldn't believe I was the same person who couldn't even understand a simple question like -what's your name? - six months before.

Now I feel I'm able to communicate with the whole world. I can't even count how many doors have opened for me since I have been able to speak English.

I will always be thankful for what CELT and Cardiff did for me."

"I have been to almost all the English schools in Cardiff... eventually, I found a school called CELT and in this school I found many things that I had been looking for in the previous schools.

In CELT you will find extremely friendly teachers and staff to support you in all aspects of your studies. I could not believe how my English and IELTS skills were improved in a short period. I studied in a friendly cosmopolitan atmosphere.

CELT is located near to the city centre and it is really easy to get there by bus or on foot, it is a vibrant place and I never got bored there. Not only that, but if you enrol in a general English course in the morning, you are likely to find many different sorts of courses for the afternoon, for example, academic English, IELTS, FCE and so on...

I always say to myself that I wish I had known about CELT when I first came to Cardiff and I would like to say to anyone who comes to study English in Cardiff, go east, go west, CELT is the best in Cardiff and in Wales!"
