One of the things that makes CELT stand out is that we welcome students from all around the globe, instead of focusing on many students from just one geographical region. Read about our learners as we move into Spring 2026:
- Japan: 2025, moving into 2026, has brought many learners from Japan, a professional photographer among them.
- Turkiye: Our recent learners from Turkiye include a trainee chef, an aspiring teacher and a cardiovascular professor/surgeon.
- Brazil: Our friendly students from Brazil include a teacher, a personal trainer and a lawyer.
- Switzerland: We delivered a tailor-made course for a Swiss businessman, focusing on AI and permaculture.
- Our diverse international students include a carer from India, an aspiring footballer (who wants to play for Morocco), and inspiring artists from Taiwan and Belgium.
- We were happy to assist an officer from Ukraine and a doctor and a dentist from Syria.
- We welcomed many students from Italy, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Spain, China and the Netherlands, as well as learners from Poland, France, Oman, and Colombia.
- We were thrilled to welcome our first students from Mongolia and Tajikistan, and our second student from Albania.
Find out what our students do outside of the classroom! We have an exciting social programme, giving our students the opportunity to make friends from other classes and learn English in a friendly, natural setting. Fun, cultural and always useful!

Giacomo from Italy, 2025:
‘The teachers and staff are really friendly and helpful, and you feel like you are at home! I really enjoyed the trips, usually on a Friday, because they are a chance to get to know other students from different classes. I found the trip to Cardiff Castle very interesting because Teacher James is full of knowledge about history. 🏰’
Following the course, Giacomo was able to secure a new job in Cardiff, due to his improved English language skills. Our Japanese learners were also recently able to do the same – congratulations to all!
